Argyll Chalets is the perfect holiday choice for those who appreciate a more relaxed pace of life. The area itself is an excellent base for exploring the Argyll and West Highlands.
Well equipped self catering accommodation at reasonable prices
Our pet friendly accommodation includes four well equipped self catering lodges situated on the edge of Loch Awe, that sleep up to 4 people comfortably. All lodges have stunning views out over the Loch towards the mountains beyond.
We also offer the Kintyre apartment, recently refurbished to the highest of standards, this apartment is ideal for couples and is situated within the large Victorian mansion of Sonachan House.

All our self catering holiday accommodation comes with a colour Freeview TV, DVD player, washing machine, fridge freezer, tumble dryers and well equipped kitchens. Accommodation is positioned well away from the quiet loch side road offering a safe environment for guests to walk and enjoy the scenery within the grounds. The ever changing views over Loch Awe and Ben Cruachan make this a truly stunning location - at any time of the year.
A tranquil retreat amid outstanding scenery that many guests return to year after year
The surrounding area and gardens provides a fantastic natural playground with forests, burns, mountains and lochs to explore and enjoy. The area has an abundance of walks, drives and local attractions, and is a hugely popular destination for anglers.
There are many recreational amenities available within the area - boat fishing for trout and salmon (permits available locally), golf, walking, horse riding, cycling and birdwatching are all popular.
A first class fishing holiday
Loch Awe is famous for its record brown trout and provides first class fishing which is free from the shore in front of the lodges. Guests are welcome to bring their own boat or hire one locally.
Portsonachan is an excellent base for exploring the Argyll and its many gardens, castles and distilleries. Trips to picturesque Inveraray, Fort William and historic Glencoe are recommended. Whilst the town of Oban is just a 35 minute drive away - from here you can take a ferry to explore numerous islands such as Mull, Islay, Lismore, Tiree and many more.
Local bars and facilities are within a few minutes drive.
